MS. EDITHA L. PIMENTEL
Ms. Pimentel is Training
Specialist and Head of the Training Unit under
SEAMEO INNOTECH's Programs Office. Prior to
this, she was involved in the Center's Applied Academics
for Excellence (APEX) Project for three years, in-charged
of teacher training and development. As Project Associate
for APEX, she was directly responsible in designing
and managing the training and development programs
for school principals and teachers of the Project's
pilot sites in Laguna, Leyte and Cebu.
Before joining SEAMEO INNOTECH, she
served as Program Manager of the Center for Development
Management at the Asian Institute of Management.
She also worked as Training Specialist for the
Nordic Agency for Development and Ecology (NORDECO),
a Danish-based international consulting and project
management company. While at NORDECO, Ms. Pimentel
managed the training component of the World Bank-DENR
(Department of Environment and Natural Resources)
Technical Assistance Project on Improving Biodiversity
Conservation in the Philippines.
She has served more than ten (10)
years in the government service where she was heavily
engaged in the development and management of competency-based
training and other HR development programs for the
department personnel and executives.
Ms. Pimentel has a Master’s
Degree in Business Administration, with specialization
on Human Resource Management from the International
Academy of Management and Economics. She completed
certificate programs on Human Resource Development
from the Development Academy of the Philippines and
Career Development and Management from the Ateneo
de Manila University. She earned her Bachelor’s
degree in Agricultural Economics from the University
of the Philippines at Los Baños,
Laguna, Philippines.
