Mrs. GRACE M. CUADRO
An
HR practitioner, she has behind her over 20 years
of professional experience in the corporate world
prior to joining the Centre. Her previous engagements
in banking and financial institutions, with the last
6 years at a managerial level, honed her organizational,
management and administrative skills and enriched
her commitment to quality service and excellence.
Presently
the Administrative Officer and Head of the Administrative
Team of SEAMEO INNOTECH, she is in charge of the overall
management and supervision of the various support
units of the Centre, namely, Human Resource Management,
Procurement, General Services and the International
House.
She
assists the Directorate in the formulation, revision,
implementation and dissemination of personnel and
administrative policies, organizational guidelines
as well as employee welfare and discipline. She
is actively involved in the Centre’s staff development
programs and training interventions aligned to the
strategic goal of building a strong learning organization.
She provides the necessary support service to strengthen
partnerships, linkages and collaboration with partner
institutions. This includes staff exchange arrangements
with other Regional Centres (such as RETRAC &
VOCTECH) to promote sharing of best practices and
to further strengthen cooperation among sister centres,
arrangements for secondments, educational and benchmarking
studies to other SEA countries, school visits and
study trips by local and international institutions.
A BS Psychology major with a Diploma in Industrial
Relations, she is presently finishing her master’s
degree in Industrial Relations at the University
of the Philippines. She is a long-time member of
the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines
(PMAP), a professional organization of human resource
specialists and managers committed to promote continuing
advancement of the HRM profession.
Her
interests include people management, employee relations,
team dynamics, counselling, organizational behavior
in industrial relations, total quality management
(TQM). As Quality Management Representative, she
has been instrumental in securing and sustaining
the Centre’s
international accreditation (ISO 9001:2000).
