TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS IN EDUCATION FOR TEACHERS AND TRAINERS

SEAMEO INNOTECH, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), concluded in November 2003 the five-year Third Country Training Program (TCTP) on Technology Applications in Education. The TCTP series of training courses started in 1999, with JICA providing technical assistance, and the Centre facilitating the course.

The course sought to enhance the outcome of teaching and learning processes by taking advantage of the significant innovations in educational technologies and the effective use of such tools. It aimed to contribute to the development and utilization of technologies appropriate for training teachers, as well as to provide its participants with the knowledge and skills needed to develop instructional packages for training teachers. More important, the course on Technology Applications intended to provide training that fits the needs and conditions of participating countries.
