Our
research and evaluation program addresses the
common rallying points of SEAMEO member countries
in education, namely: access, equity and quality.
Our projects proceed from clearly articulated
problems, geared towards making model solutions
that can be adapted across the region.
Working
closely with linkage institutions, funding agencies,
donor governments and ministries of education
of participating member countries, we innovate
and try our cost-effective technologies for delivering
education to all. The technologies we have developed
include effective approaches in teacher training,
upgrading educational leadership, delivering basic
education, and improving the quality of life through
people empowerment.
Alternative
learning systems and learning materials developed
under our projects continue to make their impact
among educators and learners in Southeast Asia
and beyond. We have likewise conducted a number
of evaluation studies which have guided actions
and decisions of policymakers, educational planners
and researchers and other education officials.
Learning
materials and training packages developed under
the different projects. Research monographs and
technical reports are available at the Center. |
