The
INNOTECH Journal is published semi-annually by the Southeast Asian
Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Center for
Educational Innovation and Technology (INNOTECH), Commonwealth
Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
The
views and opinions expressed by the authors do not necessarily
reflect those of the INNOTECH Journal staff nor of the SEAMEO
Regional INNOTECH Center.
Editorial inquiries should be
submitted to the Editor. Unsolicited manuscripts, photographs,
and artwork will be returned only if they are accompanied by a
self-addressed envelope (31 cm x 25.5 cm) and sufficient return
postage. Manuscripts should preferably be typed in double space
(a maximum of 50 pages US letter size paper) and should include
a title page stating title of article, full name of author(s),
identification (position and institutional affiliation), complete
mailing address and a recent passport size photograph of the author(s).
No honorarium is provided to authors.
Instead, they are entitled to a complimentary copy of the issue
where the article is published, and they are included in the regular
mailing list of the INNOTECH Newsletter.

The
first four chapters in this issue of the INNOTECH
Journal (Thinking Skills Development: An Overview,
Structuring the Environment, Structuring the Mind:
and Structuring the Learning Experiences)
are part of the modules used during the "SEAMEO
INNOTECH Weekend Seminar-Series on Thinking Skills
Development" conducted at SEAMEO INNOTECH
from June to November 1995.
These
chapters review available literature, including
some fundamental ideas and issues, on development
of thinking skills, as compiled by the seminar's
principal facilitator, Dr. Ophelia P. Veniegas,
Senior Research Specialist, INNOTECH. Dr. David
Catanyag, INNOTECH Senior Training Specialist,
also served as principal facilitator. Dr. Francisco
A. Trespeces, INNOTECH Consultant, served as the
seminar's resource person. |
