Title: Elementary School Dropout Intervention Program.

Objectives: To determine the effect of the following
interventions, namely: use of Multi-Level
Instructional Materials, Free Feeding Program,
and Parent Teachers Partnership program on
dropout rate and achievement level of pupils.
Methodology: Ten of the 20 experimental schools will receive
free feeding Program and parent teacher
partnership. The other ten will have the
Multi-Level Instructional Materials and
Parent-Teacher Partnership.
Background: Recent findings revealed that among the major
causes of dropouts are economic, low motivation
of both parents and pupils, and inadequate
instructional materials to generate study
interest.
Expected Outcomes: Report on the Pilot Study on dropout rate and
pupil achievement.
Results to Date: 1. Conducted Live-In Seminar Workshop on the
Development of Monitoring and Evaluation
Instruments. 2. Mimemorgaphed copies of Mental
Ability Tests and Readiness Tests in English,
Filipino and Mathematics. 3. Undertook
preparatory activities for pilot study in Regions
IV, V, VI, VIII, XII and CAR.
