Title:              National Achievement Pretest to Generate Data for

Objectives:         To generate data for improving the curriculum and
                    instruction.  
Methodology:        In order to achieve the objective of the project
                    the National Achievement tests  will be
                    administered to Grades I, IV, and VI pupils in
                    the Fourteen (14) Regions.  A pre-post test
                    design will be used in evaluating pupil
                    achievement in all learning areas.  
Background:         The study will evaluate pupil achievement after
                    the full implementation of the New Elementary
                    School Curriculum (NESC) from Grades I-VI.  
Expected Outcomes:  Test materials for Grades IV and VI in all
                    learning areas; and.  Report on the data from the
                    National Achievement Tests.
