Project
REIN (Regional Educational Information Network)
is a cooperative undertaking which seeks to facilitate
the exchange of information among SEAMEO INNOTECH's
member countries. The network was established in response
to the need for information exchange in the region,
as expressed in various regional forums.
The
network rounds up national databases of educational
policies, statistical data, development projects, educational
experts and bibliographies. It operates through Cooperating
Information Centers based in the ministries of education
of member countries. The Center encourages access to
the database through the Internet.
So
far, two databases have been set up:
Web
resources on policies and projects can be accessed here.
In
1998, Project REIN linked up with the International
Bureau of Education in Geneva to improve the dissemination
of its databases through IBE's INNODATA. |
