Media Production Consultant

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Under the guidance of the Manager, KMNO, the Consultant shall provide technical leadership and inputs in the conceptualization, design, planning, implementation and review of media productions, web productions/online events and knowledge fora, within the framework of the Center’s knowledge management program, projects and media services.

The Consultant shall be engaged for the following video and other media productions as well as in the provision of technical assistance to relevant offices/field units of the Department of Education:

  • IMPACT Video Production
  • Development of Podcasts and other audio-based instructional and teacher-training materials
  • Quarterly dissemination fora and webinars

 

  1. Lead in the conceptualization, planning, design, development, script writing, production, post­ production, and dissemination of educational media materials in support of the Center’s programs, projects and activities;
  2. Design and implement quality assurance processes for review, testing and evaluation of materials produced and in ensuring relevance to the intended audience/users;
  3. Assist the Manager, KMNO in coordinating with clients to meet requirements for educational media production services;
  4. Draft reports and review inputs and other documents pertaining to productions, projects and activities assigned;
  5. Perform other related tasks that may be assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree from a duly recognized/accredited institution of higher learning, preferably with advanced training in the areas of audio-visual communication, broadcasting, advertising or instructional material development.
  • At least 7 years of work experience in communication materials design and production, specifically involving instructional video, broadcast or multimedia productions.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and manage media productions and related project.
  • Demonstrated capability in design, production of information/education/communication materials on development-oriented issues
