INNOTECH projects nominated for 100 Citizen Solutions for Climate

Building on the discussions from the UN Climate Change Conference held in Paris, December 2015, the French Ministry of Environment, Energy and the Sea launched another global initiative, the 100 Citizen Solutions for Climate, where four INNOTECH projects have been nominated.

Out of the 591 projects submitted from around the globe, 100 most voted projects will become a reality with the help of the French Ministry of Environment, Energy and the Sea. The chosen 100 projects are said to receive active support and promotion during COP22, which will take place in Marrakesh in November 2016.

Eleven projects from the Philippines are submitted, four of which are INNOTECH initiatives. These are LEADeXCELS, HEALTHeXCELS, PEACeXCELS, and the DRRM Toolkit. You can help put these projects on the top 100 by voting online through the 100 PROJECTS FOR THE CLIMATE website. Voting ends on 6 July 2016. The French Minister of Environment is expected to announce the top 100 projects at the end of the online voting campaign.

“The ‘100 projects for climate’ aims to speed up the emergence of citizen-led initiatives to combat global warming.”
