The INNOTECH Seminar Series on Education, Innovation and Technology held on November 26, 2025, featured a seminar-workshop on Adobe Express that provided educators with hands-on opportunities to explore digital creativity and generative artificial intelligence for teaching and learning. During the session, Adobe representatives introduced Adobe Express and Adobe Firefly and demonstrated how these tools can support the creation of visually engaging learning and communication materials. Mr. Albert Goh, Solution Consultant at Adobe Singapore, emphasized the potential of generative AI to support productivity, critical thinking, creative thinking, and digital literacy, while highlighting the importance of introducing learners to responsible uses of the technology. He also discussed Adobe Firefly’s approach to responsible AI, including its use of licensed and public-domain training content and Content Credentials designed to provide greater transparency about how digital content was created or modified.
The workshop translated these concepts into practical application by guiding participants through the use of Adobe Express and Firefly to develop digital content for an education-related awareness campaign. Participants explored generating templates and images through text prompts, editing layouts and design elements, working with layers and text, and using AI-assisted features such as background removal. The session demonstrated how educators and learners without professional design experience can use accessible creative tools to produce posters, presentations, infographics, videos, and other visual materials. Beyond learning individual features, the workshop highlighted the broader value of integrating creative and AI tools into education to strengthen digital literacy, enable visual communication, and provide opportunities for students and teachers to develop skills relevant to an increasingly AI-enabled learning and work environment.
