Theme: Teacher, Ikaw Naman! Nurturing Teacher Well-Being, Inspiring Better Learning featuring SEA-Well: Supporting Teachers’ Holistic Well-being

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — SEAMEO INNOTECH placed teacher well-being at the centre of the 2026 Southeast Asian Teachers’ Month Celebration, featuring the Philippine National Teachers’ Day, highlighting the importance of supporting educators and recognizing the shared responsibility of creating environments where teachers can thrive. 

Centred on the theme “Teacher, Ikaw Naman! Nurturing Teacher Well-Being, Inspiring Better Learning,” the celebration recognized teachers for their contributions while drawing attention to the importance of their own well-being. 

The program opened with messages of appreciation and support for educators, followed by a key presentation from Dr. Milabel Enriquez-Ho focused on the celebration’s theme. 

The afternoon program continued with SEA-Well: Supporting Teachers’ Holistic Well-being, exploring how teachers, schools, institutions, and education systems can share the responsibility of creating supportive environments for educators. 

Through the celebration, SEAMEO INNOTECH underscored the importance of caring for teachers as part of supporting better learning.
