The conversation looks at the Career Development for Children (CD4C) initiative and explains why introducing career development as early as kindergarten is not about asking children to choose a profession. Instead, it is about helping them understand themselves, discover the diverse world of work, challenge biases and gender stereotypes, and develop foundational skills such as listening, teamwork, decision-making, and respect for others.
They also discuss the CD4C Toolkit and how career learning can be made developmentally appropriate, playful, contextualized, and integrated into existing classroom learning rather than becoming an additional subject for teachers.
