The Innovators SEAL (Innovators in Education: Southeast Asian School Leadership Program) successfully concluded its Phase 2 in-person learning activities on June 15, 2026. This marks an important milestone in the program’s three-phase implementation that aims to support and strengthen school leadership across Southeast Asia.
Over eight days, 33 school leaders and ministry of education officials from all 11 SEAMEO Member Countries and Sri Lanka participated in an immersive program designed to translate innovative ideas into practical and context-responsive actions. Phase 2 features innovation symposia showcasing each country initiatives, hands-on innovation sprints, practical explorations of various AI tools, school visits, and collaborative sessions to refine action plans and prototypes.
Participants engaged in meaningful knowledge exchange, sharing successful practices from their country, and learning from peers across the region. Through guided discussions, coaching, and design-thinking activities, alumni co-developed solutions that address shared education challenges in the region. The cohort also examined the role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in strengthening school leadership approaches and driving innovation in schools.
We congratulate this cohort of INNOTECH alumni for their dedication, collaborative spirit, and forward-looking leadership. The prototypes, action plans, and peer networks that emerged during Phase 2 represent tangible steps toward more resilient, equitable, and innovative learning environments across Southeast Asia.
Next steps for alumni include implementing action plans in their institutions, continued peer coaching, and participating in ongoing knowledge-sharing. We encourage alumni to stay connected, share progress and lessons learned, and contribute to the INNOTECH community.
