A Stronger Partnership for Education: CPSC and SEAMEO INNOTECH Sign MOU

MANILA, Philippines — SEAMEO INNOTECH and the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) formalized a strengthened partnership to advance innovation, capacity building, and excellence in education and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the CPSC Conference Room, 13 May 2026.

Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Kumar Dhameja, Director General of CPSC, and Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, PhD, SEAMEO INNOTECH Centre Director, led the signing ceremony and reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering transformative and collaborative educational initiatives across the region.

Members of the SEAMEO INNOTECH delegation also participated in the ceremony, including Ms. Ethel Joan Atienza, Senior Specialist, and Ms. Jesset Marcelo, Associate. Their participation highlighted the organizations’ continued efforts to strengthen partnerships that empower educators and learners through knowledge exchange, professional development, and institutional collaboration.

Representatives from CPSC also attended the ceremony, including Prof. Naeem Yaqoob, Faculty Specialist; Ms. Arlene Cruz, Executive Secretary; Mr. Vergel Dela Paz, TDD Officer; Mr. Lawrence Gonzales, PCD Officer; Ms. Julifer Madeja, APACC Officer; Ms. Arlene Monge, RPID Officer; Mr. Justine Legaspi, ICT Officer; and Ms. Sonali Weerasinghe, PIPIE. Their presence underscored the collective commitment of both institutions to fostering meaningful regional cooperation and advancing educational development initiatives across Asia and the Pacific.

SEAMEO INNOTECH and CPSC continue to pursue collaborative initiatives that strengthen learning communities, promote innovation, and expand opportunities for educators and learners in the region. Through partnerships such as this, both institutions reinforce their commitment to building inclusive and future-ready education systems that respond to the evolving needs of society.
