Ms. Sitthattha Taikeophithoun is a seasoned education professional and researcher from the Lao PDR, currently serving as the Director of the Education Research and Evaluation Centre at the Research Institute for Educational Sciences (RIES), Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES). I was the head of the Foreign Languages Resource Centre at RIES in 2021 and was appointed as a member of the Governing Board of the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) in 2024.
With over two decades of experience in the education sector, Ms. Sitthattha previously served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Champasak University (2010–2020) and spent eight years as a lecturer at the National University of Laos. Her extensive research background focuses on learning outcomes and student assessments, and she has served as the Project Manager of the Lao team for the Southeast Asia Primary Learning Metrics (SEA-PLM) since 2024.
She holds an MBA from Kasetsart University under the JICA scholarship program, a Bachelor of Arts in English and Management from the National University of Laos, and a Diploma in Politics and Public Administration from NAPPA.
