SEAMEO INNOTECH introduced justices and court personnel from the Sandiganbayan to the potential applications and limitations of artificial intelligence (AI) in judicial work, highlighting how emerging technologies could support legal research, document preparation, and other judicial tasks while emphasizing the importance of carefully assessing AI-generated information.
The discussions formed part of the opening session of the InnoTeach By-Demand Master Course: Advancing Judicial Work through Responsible AI, held on 9 October 2026.
Led by resource speaker Mr. Sebastian Luis “Basti” Ortiz, the session introduced participants to large language models (LLMs), AI hallucinations, and open-weight AI models.
