CHONBURI, Thailand — SEAMEO INNOTECH joined policymakers, SEAMEO Centres, education leaders, and partners at the Regional Policy Dialogue: Empowering the Next Generation Through Mathematical Literacy on 16 July 2026, contributing to regional discussions on evidence-based strategies for improving mathematics learning across Southeast Asia.
Organized by SEAMEO STEM-ED in partnership with the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), the dialogue brought together regional stakeholders to exchange perspectives on strengthening mathematical literacy.
The programme featured presentations on global practices in mathematics education, digital innovation in the classroom, technology-enabled learning, unplugged computational thinking, and the launch of the Policy Sandbox. It concluded with a discussion on leadership takeaways and next steps for regional collaboration.
As Southeast Asia works toward ensuring that every learner develops strong foundational skills, opportunities for regional dialogue remain essential.
