BANGKOK, Thailand — SEAMEO INNOTECH joined education leaders, diplomatic partners, and development organizations at the SEAMEO Diplomatic Briefing on 17 July 2026, which featured the high-level launch of the SEA-PLM Pluriannual Strategic Framework 2026–2031, marking a significant milestone in regional cooperation for learning assessment and education quality.
The newly launched strategic framework provides a shared roadmap for strengthening learning assessment across Southeast Asia, reinforcing regional cooperation and supporting evidence-informed efforts to improve learning outcomes for every child. It reflects a collective commitment to advancing education quality through stronger regional collaboration and shared priorities.
The event brought together representatives from the SEAMEO network, Ministries of Education, diplomatic missions, and development organizations. Highlights included opening remarks by Datuk Dr. Habibah Abdul Rahim, Director of the SEAMEO Secretariat and SEA-PLM Programme Co-Chair; presentations on SEAMEO’s regional priorities, partnerships, and programmes; the official launch of the strategic framework; and the reaffirmation of the partnership between the SEAMEO Secretariat and UNICEF, co-chairs of the SEA-PLM Programme.
Through its participation in the SEAMEO Diplomatic Briefing, SEAMEO INNOTECH reaffirmed its commitment to supporting regional collaboration and knowledge sharing that contribute to stronger education systems and quality learning across Southeast Asia.
