CHONBURI, Thailand — SEAMEO INNOTECH strengthened its regional and international partnerships during the SEAMEO Centre Directors Meeting (CDM) 2026, advancing new opportunities for collaboration that support innovation and respond to the evolving needs of learners and educators across Southeast Asia.

A key milestone of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SEAMEO INNOTECH and the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP). Signed by SEAMEO INNOTECH Centre Director Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago and SEAMEO CECCEP Centre Director Prof. Vina Adriany, M.Ed., Ph.D., the agreement reflects both Centres’ shared commitment to promoting quality education through regional collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovative initiatives.

Beyond formalizing this partnership, the meeting provided opportunities for SEAMEO INNOTECH to engage with regional and international organizations working to shape the future of education. Through discussions with representatives from Kyungwoon University, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, the British Council, UNESCO International Centre for Higher Education Innovation (UNESCO-ICHEI), and the University of Tsukuba, the Centre explored areas for future cooperation and shared perspectives on emerging priorities in education.

SEAMEO INNOTECH also contributed to high-level conversations on future-focused education, with Dr. Ravago serving as reactor during a session on futures thinking, artificial intelligence, and seamless digital learning. These exchanges reinforced the value of collaboration in addressing the opportunities and challenges facing education systems across the region.

By bringing together strategic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and new partnerships, the SEAMEO Centre Directors Meeting 2026 reinforced SEAMEO INNOTECH’s commitment to working with regional and global partners to advance more innovative, connected, and future-ready education systems.
