The meeting, held at Da Nang University and hosted by Dr. Phan, centered on two major initiatives: the development of a regional policy framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, and the upcoming INNOTECH Hub—a regional knowledge-sharing platform designed to foster innovation, equity, and system-wide educational reform.
The gathering brought together university leaders to explore opportunities for joint research, policy development, and education innovation. Dr. Ravago outlined the vision for the INNOTECH Hub as a trusted repository providing streamlined access to curated datasets and research on educational technology, innovation, and systemic transformation. The platform aims to empower researchers, policymakers, and education stakeholders by promoting equitable access to quality data and evidence-based resources.
“We are building the INNOTECH Hub not just as a platform, but as a regional movement to democratize access to high-quality education data and research,” said Dr. Ravago. “Together with the regional AI policy framework, this reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive and future-ready education system across Southeast Asia.”
The group also discussed the development of an AI policy framework to guide the ethical, inclusive, and strategic adoption of AI technologies in improving learning outcomes, teaching, and education governance throughout the region.
