SEAMEO INNOTECH at National Kick-Off of Project AGAP.AI
Today marked the official launch of Project AGAP.AI—Department of Education’s AI program, convening education leaders and partners to advance artificial intelligence as a kaagapay for teaching and learning, guided by ethical, inclusive, and future-ready principles. The presence of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at the National Kick-Off underscored the program’s importance as a key priority in the country’s education and digital transformation agenda.
Invited by DepEd Philippines to participate in the National Kick-Off, SEAMEO INNOTECH shared evidence-based knowledge products and a preview of the Regional AI in Education Framework Briefer, highlighting its contribution as a regional knowledge partner advancing responsible AI in education across Southeast Asia.
Held on 16 January 2026 at the Ceremonial Hall of Malacañan Palace, the annual New Year’s Vin d’Honneur brought together members of the diplomatic corps, heads of international organizations, and senior government officials in a formal gathering hosted by the President. The event served as an occasion for the President and First Lady to personally receive distinguished guests and reaffirm the Philippines’ commitment to diplomatic engagement, international cooperation, and strengthened partnerships with regional and global stakeholders.
