The EIAP supports INNOTECH’s mandate to identify educational needs and develop innovative solutions to address the varied learning needs of Southeast Asian school communities. The program aims to accelerate solutions development through collaborative engagement with school-based innovators to reach and benefit as many learners as possible. Project Vincent is one of the two school innovations currently being mentored under the EIAP.

Project Vincent is a chatbot learning platform deployed through Facebook Messenger developed by teachers to administer interventions using remediation materials for students-at-risk (i.e., students who did not achieve a passing grade of 75% in one or more subject areas) at the VPTNHS in Valenzuela City.

In this latest EIAP mentoring session, the Project Vincent technical working group members underwent a writeshop for guidebook development. This guidebook is targeted towards potential adapters of an innovation like Project Vincent. Meanwhile, other members of the TWG focused on updating the chatbot system for optimal utilization. The finalized guidebook will be openly available for those who are interested in adopting a chatbot system as a remediation tool for their school communities. A previous mentoring session on the development of a new chatbot system for VPTNHS was conducted last year as well.

The EIAP’s pilot run is currently being implemented in the Philippines, with the hope of expanding its implementation in the Southeast Asian region in the succeeding years.
