Strengthening and Improving the Knowledge Advancement of Aspiring Principals (SIKAP) is a research study conducted through E-CAIR that examines the readiness of aspiring school heads in the Philippines. Drawing on national datasets—including the 2023 NQESH and key learning assessments—the study analyzes trends in the principalship pipeline, identifies competency gaps aligned with the PPSSH, and highlights regional and positional differences in leadership preparation. Its findings offer evidence-based recommendations to strengthen how future principals are identified, developed, and supported across the education system.
