Disaster may strike at any time and place. And the education sector plays a significant role in disaster mitigation, response, and recovery. Schools serve as a central point in most communities — be it for learning, cultural gathering, or social bonding. Making it the focal point in disaster risk reduction (DRR) education for the whole community is a proven effective approach.
