Two INNOTECH research studies presented at the SEAMEO RIHED Inter-Regional Research Symposium

SEAMEO INNOTECH, represented by Dr. Sherlyne Almonte-Acosta, Senior Specialist of the Educational Research Unit, and Ms. Erlene Umali, Senior Associate of the Educational Research Unit, shared two of the Center’s research studies at the SEAMEO RIHED Inter-Regional Research Symposium, “Sustainable Learning in Higher Education: Towards Sustainable Development.” The symposium was held on 23-25 November 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.  

The SEAMEO RIHED Inter-Regional Research Symposium emphasizes the contribution of higher education towards sustainable development. The 2022 SEAMEO RIHED Inter-Regional Research Symposium revolved around three sub-themes: Creating Equitable Learning Spaces for Sustainable Development; Digital Transformation, Skills and Credentials; and Advancing Partnerships and Sustainable Communities. 

SEAMEO INNOTECH’s Regional Research on Teacher Preparation in Response to Increasing ASEAN Integration has been presented under the symposium’s sub-theme of Creating Equitable Learning Spaces. The research on Understanding Motivation Among Teachers in the Philippines, on the other hand, was presented under the sub-theme of Advancing Partnerships.
