DR. ERLINDA C. PEFIANCO COMPLETES TERM OF OFFICE

As she finished her term of office at SEAMEO INNOTECH, outgoing Director Dr. Erlinda C. Pefianco said the Center is well on its way to meeting the goals laid out in the Center’s Eighth Five-Year Development Plan, covering the cycle that is yet to start in July 2011.

These goals include developing innovative education solutions as exemplified by programs under the SEAMEO INNOTECH Regional Education Program (SIREP); improving quality assurance systems through ISO; strengthening thought leadership through research and policy analysis; people development; enhancing the environment for innovation; expanding partnerships; increasing visibility; and maintaining the resource base, which now stands at a level that could adequately fund all planned activities as well as people development requirements in the next medium term.

Dr. Pefianco thanked the Center staff for helping her realize the Center’s mandate in the last 12 years.
