INNOTECH joins Brigada Eskwela 2019

From 22 to 23 May 2019, SEAMEO INNOTECH staff and partners participated in the Philippine Department of Education back to school program, Brigada Eskwela. A total of 63 Center staff and partners volunteered to clean and repaint classrooms of SEAMEO INNOTECH adopted schools, namely Culiat Elementary School and Culiat High School.

This yearly participation in Brigada Eskwela is part of the Center’s social responsibility commitments. Aside from cleaning and repainting classrooms, the Center also donated painting and cleaning supplies to Culiat Elementary School, Culiat High School, Navotas National High School, and Valenzuela National High School. The SEAMEO INNOTECH Multipurpose Cooperative (SIMCO) also partnered with the Center in the donation of additional painting materials and woodwork tools to the Center’s two adopted schools.

With the theme, “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan,” Brigada Eskwela, or the National Schools Maintenance Week of the Department of Education aims to bring all education stakeholders together to participate and contribute their time, effort, and resources to prepare public school facilities for the opening of the school year in June 2019.
