INNOTECH launches digital technology for education of parents

After a series of focus group discussions among parents and caregivers in selected Southeast Asian countries, SEAMEO INNOTECH released a set of initial information materials on digital technology for education targeted to parents. The set of infographics and short videos are available on the SEAMEO INNOTECH Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

The set of infographics and short videos are meant to help parents and caregivers improve their digital literacy, raise their awareness of digital safety and threats, and engage them to become better learning partners of their children and co-facilitators of teachers at home. The information materials were based on the results of the study conducted by SEAMEO INNOTECH involving parents and caregivers from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam as part of the project, Digital Technology for Education of Parents (DT4E Parents).

Ten sets of infographics were developed to share relevant concepts on digital literacy and digital parenting. Short videos were also developed to supplement these infographics. Check out these resources on the SEAMEO INNOTECH Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

As this is a pilot implementation of the DT4E Program, parents, caregivers, teachers, and school leaders are invited to share their feedback on the materials through an online survey: https://forms.gle/y56Firktbg7LFDbQ9. The survey form is open until midnight of 21 January 2023.
