INNOTECH Recognized for Advancing Higher Education Partnerships at CHED’s 32nd Anniversary
SEAMEO INNOTECH was honored during the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) 32nd Anniversary celebration. INNOTECH was recognized for its strong commitment to collaboration and its vital role in strengthening partnerships between government and higher education institutions.

The recognition highlights INNOTECH’s continuedefforts to support the development of Philippine higher education through innovation, capacity-building, and strategic engagement with key stakeholders. Dr. Juan Robertino “Robbie” Macalde, Manager of the Learning Development and Management Office (LDMO), received the award on behalf of Centre Director Dr. Majah-Lea V. Ravago.
The recognition was part of CHED’s anniversary activities that culminated in an event at the PICC on June 10, 2026, with the theme “Legacy ACHIEVE-d, Future Reimagined.” The celebration reflects CHED’s role in bringing together government, academe, and international partners to harness knowledge for nation-building.

The event brought together prominent leaders and policymakers, including Senator Loren Legarda; Representative Jude Acidre, Chair of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education; Secretary Francisco Benitez, Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); Atty. Charito Zamora, Chairperson of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC); and the Presidents of the State Universities and Colleges and selected Private Universities. Their presence underscored the importance of collaboration among institutions to advance the country’s education agenda.
Further reinforcing this commitment, INNOTECH is set to implement a specialized course under CHED’s HUSAY (Higher Education Upskilling and Study for Advancement of Staff and Faculty) Program. The course, “Future-Ready Data Skills for Smarter Higher Education Systems in the Philippines,” is designed to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions (HEIs) to effectively manage, analyze, and utilize data to support planning, decision-making, and quality assurance.
This recognition and the upcoming implementation of the HUSAY Program at INNOTECH not only celebrate INNOTECH’s contributions but also signal a continued partnership in shaping a future-ready, data-driven higher education system—empowering Filipino learners and educators in an increasingly global and digital landscape.
