SEAMEO INNOTECH LENDS SUPPORT TO DEPED DIRECTORS

SEAMEO INNOTECH hosted a partnership forum with the Association of DepEd Directors to gain a sense of regional priority projects that the Center can support. A plan of action to follow-up on issues that surface from the Regional Directors’ inputs is expected to be drafted.

With the decentralization of DepED operations, the regional and the division offices are expected to play a major role, especially in the area of staff training and capacity building. The forum then is envisioned to bring together the Department’s key decision-makers at a time when major decisions need to be made for capacity building activities. On the part of SEAMEO INNOTECH, the main goal of the event is to celebrate the partnership between the two organizations and to create awareness among DepED regional directors about the education solutions offered by the Center, especially those that support K-12.
