SEAMEO INNOTECH is an international intergovernmental organization committed to develop
educational research and training solutions to address current and emerging
education needs of Southeast Asia.
Who We Are
INNOTECH is an international organization hosted by the Philippines since 1976. It is dedicated to promoting educational innovation and technology throughout Southeast Asia by enhancing teacher training facilitating research, and offering policy support. Its commitment to capacity building plays a fundamental role in advancing educational development and innovation in the region.
INNOTECH is under the Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) – a key intergovernmental body dedicated to fostering collaboration among Southeast Asian nations in the fields of education, science, and culture. The SEAMEO Council, the organization’s highest policy-making authority, is composed of education ministers from 11 member countries, with the Philippines represented by Secretary Sonny Angara from the Department of Education (DepEd). Meanwhile, the SEAMEO Secretariat operates as the executive arm, based in Bangkok, Thailand. Through its efforts, SEAMEO continues to promote sustainable development and educational innovation across the region.
